About
My name is Henrik Leopold and I'm a Full Professor for Data Science at the Kühne Logistics University - KLU. My research sits at the intersection of information systems and business processes, whether it's assembling a car or delivering critical healthcare services. I’m particularly passionate about harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, including machine learning and natural language processing, to unlock new possibilities in process mining, analysis, and automation.
A central component of my work is close collaboration with industry partners to ensure that the solutions developed address real-world challenges and generate practical impact. At the same time, I remain committed to academic rigor and excellence, as reflected in more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, including articles in leading journals such as IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, Decision Support Systems, and Information Systems.
